Copyright & DMCA Policy
Effective date: 10 August 2026
The English and Chinese versions are intended to express the same rules. If they differ, interpret them, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to preserve the original intent and mandatory consumer protections, and contact support for clarification.
1. Copyright notices
Send copyright notices to abuse@koanode.com with: identification of the protected work; exact location of the allegedly infringing material; your contact details; statements of good-faith belief and accuracy/authority; and a physical or electronic signature. A United States DMCA notice should include all information required by 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3). Do not knowingly make false claims.
2. Response and counter-notice
We may forward a notice to the customer, request more information, restrict access, preserve records or terminate repeat infringers where appropriate. A counter-notice should identify removed material and its former location, state under penalty of perjury a good-faith belief that removal was mistaken, provide contact and legally required jurisdiction/service statements, and be signed. We may restore material when legally permitted unless the claimant timely begins appropriate court action.
3. Other rights
This process also accepts non-U.S. copyright complaints, but calling a policy “DMCA” does not extend U.S. law to every dispute. Trademark, privacy and other claims should clearly identify the right, legal basis, location and requested action. We may reject incomplete, abusive or misdirected notices.
