Cloud Instances
Plans, operating systems, networking and lifecycle basics.
Hourly rate, prorated by actual time
Compute uses the published hourly rate and is prorated by actual billable seconds. Successful deletion stops compute billing at the deletion time; it is not rounded up to the next clock hour. Powering off without deleting continues billing because resources remain allocated. Earlier usage remains part of your records.
Compute and SSD storage
Each plan lists its vCPU, memory, SSD storage and included monthly outbound transfer. Choose a plan for your workload rather than relying on the plan name alone.
View pricing →Operating systems
Select one of the available Linux images during creation. Reinstalling replaces the server system and data, so back up anything important first.
Lifecycle actions
Restart is appropriate for a temporary operating-system issue. Reinstall rebuilds the system. Delete is permanent and stops future compute billing.
Public IP and traffic
Each Instance displays its Public IP after provisioning. Inbound traffic is free. Included outbound transfer is combined in a monthly regional Traffic Pool across your Instances.
